IGN 4-32-02 Issue 3 August 1988 Specification for polyethylene pressure pipe for cold potable water (underground use)

Introduction

The Standards Board has decided that any document published before 1990 should be archived.

The document said at the time (August 1988) ‘This specification was the forerunner of BS 6572:1985 which contains equivalent technical requirements. The specification number 4-32-02 will remain on file and a number of manufacturers retain BSI Registration for compliance with it.

BS 6572, Specification for blue polyethylene pipes up to nominal size 63 for below ground use for potable water, is now recognised as the lead document and purchase of Kitemarked product conforming to BS 6572 is recommended.’
