How to make Comments / Proposals

To make comments on:

  • A draft WIS or IGN that is open for public comment
  • An existing WIS or IGN that has been recategorised as ‘ageing’ or ‘archived’
  • An existing WIS or IGN you believe needs updating
  • An archived WIS or IGN that you believe warrants further consideration

simply click on the relevant document in the WIS and IGN Library and you can download the Comments Form and Guidance Notes there. Your completed Comments Form can also be uploaded there.

To make a proposal to:

Submit a new WIS/IGN

Use Appendix A of IGN 4-00-02 to propose a new WIS or IGN for consideration by the Standards Board. The Technical Secretary will discuss any modifications to Annex A with you that may be required before submitting your proposal to the Board and will feedback the Board's decision. For successful proposals, that have achieved final working draft status, use Appendix B to submit the Steering Group Chair's authorisation to expose the draft for 3-months public comment. For a draft WIS or IGN that has been exposed to 3-months public comment and had those comments considered by the Steering Group, use Appendix B again to submit the Chairman of the Drafting Group's approval to publish.
