WIS 4-02-01 Version 7.3 Operational Requirements: In Situ Resin Lining of Water Mains

WIS 4-02-01 Version 7.3 will be replaced by WIS 4-02-01 Version 8 with effect from 00.01hrs on 1st January 2025. Until that time Version 7.3 remains effective. Version 8 was uploaded to the WUK Standards Board website on 18/9/24 to support preparation for this transition. Interpretation of Version 8’s designation as ‘current’ should recognise the above timeline.  

These Operational Requirements cover material selection, pipeline cleaning, application, curing, inspection and disinfection requirements needed to provide protective coatings for pipelines constructed of iron, steel, asbestos cement, concrete, plastic or as limited by the material Instructions for Use (IFU) using resin materials approved for in situ lining of potable water mains.

These resin materials are placed in situ by spray application to pipelines of nominal 3″ (75mm) diameter and above or as limited by the IFU.
