Caveats
The document has not been reviewed for its continued currency since publication.
One or more ‘Common Editorial Caveats’ apply – see ‘WIS & IGN Library / Navigation & Caveats’ for details.
The document no longer reflects current best practice for connecting PE service pipes to watermains. However, connections to mains of other materials may still require such fittings as may pinhole leak repairs.
Based on the Standards Board’s enquiries (FWA, UKSTT, PIG & SRCG representatives – Autumn 2021) the consensus view is that the existing document is likely to require updating. The Board has therefore initiated a review of its continuing relevance and currency.
